ICF Virginia Welcomes Two New Board Members

Opens Voting for Director of Pro Bono Services

The ICF Virginia Chapter is pleased to announce the appointment of two outstanding leaders to our Board of Directors. Both were appointed unopposed following the recent nominations process.




Vice President / President-Elect – Erin Lingo, ACC
Erin Lingo is a certified and credentialed Leadership Coach, somatics practitioner, and nonprofit leader dedicated to helping individuals and teams cultivate grounded, values-aligned leadership. As the ICF Virginia Region Leader for Richmond over the past two years, Erin re-established monthly Coaches Connection gatherings and fostered a culture of collaboration and shared learning among local coaches.


Director of Marketing & Communications – Terry McDougall, PCC
Terry McDougall is an executive and career coach who helps high-achieving professionals become happier and more effective in their careers. A former marketing leader in financial services and author of Winning the Game of Work: Career Happiness and Success on Your Own Terms, Terry brings deep expertise in branding, communications, and professional development.



Please join us in congratulating Erin and Terry on their appointments! Their experience, creativity, and commitment will help strengthen our chapter and the coaching community across the Commonwealth.

ICF Virginia Board Elections Are Now Open!

Elections are now open for the Director of Pro Bono Services position. We have three candidates to choose from.

Dr. Ebony Grey, ACC
Dr. Ebony Grey is an Air Force veteran, executive coach, and CEO of Greys Consulting Group with more than 25 years of federal government experience.

“ICF Virginia has a unique opportunity to expand its reach by building strong pro bono partnerships with nonprofits, schools, and veteran-serving organizations. My experience designing programs and connecting skilled coaches with leaders has shown me the power of service and community.”


Lori Pyle, ACC

Lori Pyle is a leadership coach, facilitator, and consultant with a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership and an ICF Associate Certified Coach credential.

“I’m a solopreneur leadership coach who loves connecting developmental coaching to those who might not otherwise have access. Building partnerships between organizations and volunteer coaches would be an exciting way to expand ICF Virginia’s impact.”




Jeffrey Gaines, ACC

Jeff Gaines is an experienced executive, business owner, and leadership coach with over 15 years of experience leading large-scale operations across private, federal, and nonprofit sectors.

“I’m passionate about using coaching as a force for service and social good. As Pro Bono Service Chair, my goal is to expand our reach, build sustainable partnerships, and create meaningful opportunities for coaches to serve where their skills can make the greatest impact.”

Voting is open now and closes on November 14.
All ICF Virginia members should have received an email with voting instructions. Please follow those directions to cast your vote.

Vice President

Key Responsiblities:

Learn chapter inner workings to assume role of President in 2027 for a 2 year term

● Serve as direct support to the Chapter President 

● In case of the absence or disability of the President, or at their request, the President Elect/Vice President shall perform the duties of the President 

● Serve on the Nominating Team to develop a slate of qualified board members for the following year

Director Probono Services

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations and educational institutions across Virginia. 

  • Facilitate at least two new partnerships per year


  • Develop and manage structured pro bono coaching initiatives that align with ICF Foundation’s goals for social impact. 

  • Track outcomes and share success stories to inspire member involvement and demonstrate community value.

Director of Marketing & Communications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver membership communication to keep members informed, engaged, and participating in the chapter (Monthly) 

  • Develop and deliver stakeholder/outreach communications to deliver on the chapter vision and mission (Monthly)

To be a member of the ICF board, you must be:

  • ICF Global Member who designated ICF Virginia as their chapter and is in good standing (this automatically makes you an ICF Virginia Gold member)
  • ICF Virginia member in good standing (Gold, Silver, or Student)
  • Shall hold a current ICF Credential (ACC, PCC, or MCC) or completed 60 hours of coach specific training requirements as defined by ICF-PC
