Presenter: Ron Oslin

Regardless of your particular coaching discipline, you’ll undoubtedly encounter clients who say they want to change or know they need to change – yet continue to struggle, stay stuck or simply resist lasting change. So how do you, as a coach, help them shift this paradigm? The key is Motivational Interviewing.

In this informative presentation, Motivational Interviewing expert Ron Oslin will describe the stages of change and share how to use Motivational Interviewing techniques to help clients resolve underlying resistance, ambivalence, or apathy to change. As your clients move between the various stages of change, you’ll be able to shift between Motivational Interviewing and classic coaching techniques at the right time to meet your clients' needs.

Currently a Lean leadership coach at Capital One, Ron is a well-respected author, subject matter expert and speaker on lean, having previously worked at Toyota – regarded as the birthplace of lean manufacturing.
