Alexa Beavers, PMP - President

Alexa Beavers, a self-proclaimed “pragmatic idealist”, has a track record of coaching leaders, cultivating change-making teams and shaping organizational transformations that deliver results. Her career spans public and private sectors, and includes leadership in education, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, animal health, financial services, non-profit, and Fortune 500 companies.

As a coach, Alexa helps her clients leverage their self-awareness, resilience, learning agility and interpersonal skills so they can bring their best selves to work and get amazing results. The Axela Group’s unique SCANTM coaching approach works especially well in these times of rapid change because it helps leaders See, Consider their options, Adapt with a coach there to support them, and “Now do it again” so they can be agile in today’s changing world. Alexa is founder and managing partner of The Axela Group and sits on the Boards of Community Veterinary Outreach, USA and The International Coaching Federation, Virginia Chapter. Some of her most recent work includes heading Culture, Change and Communications for Boehringer Ingelheim’s deal with Sanofi to acquire its animal health business. Alexa holds a Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute and has a Master of Arts in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. She attends Georgetown’s Institute for Transformational Leadership and is looking forward to adding the International Coaching Federation’s ACC designation to her credentials in the summer of 2019. Alexa lives with her husband (who is her business partner), three children and their dog, Scout, in Richmond, Virginia.

Libby Dishner - Past President

Elizabeth M. Dishner (Libby) has spent 20+ years during her career helping people find success and fulfillment by reaching for their full potential. As founder of Cresco Strategy, and co-founder of Cultivate Coaching and Consulting, Libby works with individuals and organizations helping them change and grow, providing leadership development, coaching and HR strategy. 

Libby holds a master’s degree in Human Resources from The Ohio State University. Trained by the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, she is a Certified Professional Coach. Currently her ACC accreditation is pending with the International Coach Federation.  Libby and her family have been residence of Richmond since 2000.  She is also very involved in the nonprofit community serving in leadership positions with several boards. 

Stephanie Brown, ACC- Vice President and Marketing and Communications 

Stephanie Brown is a certified coach, facilitator, speaker, seasoned human resources (HR) professional and Principal of FWD Coaching Concepts LLC. Stephanie has held positions in the federal government to include Chief Learning Officer at the United States Department of Agriculture, Farm Service Agency and is currently team lead of various HR and civilian leader development initiatives with the Department of the Army, TRADOC. 

Stephanie received her coach training from the United States Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Federal Coach Training Program in 2015. She is a transformative coaching professional who promotes a coach-based leadership style. She has dedicated over 500 hours across government to coaching aspiring leaders in various federal civilian leader development programs. She has coached over 200 civilian leaders and military leaders who supervise civilian employees since 2016. Stephanie’s coaching practice FWD Coaching Concepts, LLC affords her the opportunity to expand her coaching reach beyond government to those working in corporate and non-profit organizations.

Stephanie is an International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach (ACC). She graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Management- Human Resources Track. She earned a Masters in Theology from St. Leo University in 2018. She holds the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), Senior Certified Professional (SCP) certification and the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) certification of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

She is involved in the nonprofit community serving on committees or in leadership positions with several boards. Stephanie came to Hampton Roads (Virginia) in 1995 with her husband who spent over 23 years in the Navy. She cherishes her family which includes three adult children and three grandchild and she enjoys boating, fishing and gardening. 

Lisa Gibson - Treasurer

Lisa Gibson coaches and mentors nonprofit executive directors in their first 3 years on the job. Her goal is to help them strategically run their nonprofit so the job doesn’t run them down. Her 4-month VIP program helps executive directors integrate their many roles, achieve work-life balance, build board support and showcase successes to funders.

Lisa earned two business degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. She has 25 years of experience in the nonprofit world including 15 years as an executive director.

Lisa holds certificates in strategic planning, nonprofit marketing, fundraising, board consulting, and nonprofit leadership. She also has 3 certifications from iPEC (Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching).

When Lisa isn’t coaching EDs, she enjoys bridge, traveling, and playing the piano. She is a certified scuba diver, tap dancer, and 1940’s movie buff. She lives with her partner and their cat, Tilly C, in Richmond.

Charlotte Jacobs -Secretary

Charlotte Jacobs is an accomplished Leadership and Development Coach with over 20 years of experience in the call center industry.  She is currently a Process Improvement Analyst for Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls. She is also a Module Support Coach at iPEC and is the Founder of InvestNLead Coaching and Consulting Group.  Charlotte offers experience in all areas of human resource development, adult learning, project management, organizational development, and client relations.  She has held roles such as Implementation Manager, Senior Performance Management Coach/Consultant, Project Manager and Adjunct Professor with the responsible of leading personnel at all levels with a focus on improving performance and increasing proficiency. She utilized her excellent prioritization, action planning as well as follow-up skills to implement training globally across 51 domestic and international locations.  She has a proven background in not only developing content but in implementing effective and efficient training.  She has successfully implemented performance-based reward programs for clients. She is a 2019 graduate of the iPEC Training where she was received her certification as a Certified Professional Coach along with other coaching specialties.  She received her BS in Systems Organization and Management with a Concentration in Human Resources from Hampton University in 2003 and an MBA from Averett University in 2006. She is active within her community and her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  She served in various leadership roles such as the President for an organization with 2,000 members, American Cancer Society Relay For Life Executive Board and was a Tutor for Peninsula Read.  Charlotte enjoys exercising, cooking, traveling, meeting new people, and spending time with family, friends and her fur baby Muppet. 

Rebecca Reimers Cristol- Membership

Rebecca Reimers Cristol, ACC, coaches businesses of all sizes to communicate more clearly, improve customer relations, streamline workflow and reduce worker stress. With her guidance, leaders have honed their management skills and increased employee engagement. Whether a new venture, a seasoned business or non-profit, Rebecca enables people to find joy in their work and get the most out of life.

Rebecca earned a Bachelors degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, then a Masters in Metalsmithing & Jewelry Design from Indiana University. While managing her own jewelry studio for 20 years, she learned to juggle all the responsibilities of owning a small business while guiding her friends through life’s challenges. Inspired by this, she launched her coaching business in 2009 and completed her training at Coach U.

She currently facilitates a small business group where entrepreneurs and freelancers can troubleshoot problems.  She also hosts seminars for large corporations and weekend workshops for individuals. Kim Kristensen - Professional Development

Kim is passionate about conflict, coaching, and training! His mission is to help people awaken to their full potential by deeply listening to them, helping them uncover learning opportunities, calling them to awareness and action, and offering them relentless support along the way.

He has been a Certified Mediator for over 15 years and has a Master's degree in Social Sciences/Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Human Resources. Kim is also a Life Coach, trainer, men's empowerment group leader and trainer, former state government manager, and former circus acrobat and animal trainer -- which ties all of it together. 

Born in Sarasota, Florida, at the winter quarters for Ringling Bros. circus, Kim travelled throughout the United States and Canada while performing with his parents as an acrobat/trick rider, animal trainer, and aerialist.

At age 24, he “ran away from the circus and joined life”. The following years have been focused on adult education, psychology, management, leadership, somatic psychology, personal growth, and conflict resolution.

Michele Atkins - Professional Development

For Michele Atkins, encouragement runs through her blood. Michele is the ultimate believer in a positive mindset and is most passionate about helping women who are seeking more. If you ask Michele, life is worth truly living, “and you’re allowed to have fun!”. She seeks to help individuals release the heaviness of a busy and demanding life by connecting their confidence to their calling. 

Michele serves as a Life, Leadership, and Wellness Coach. She leads and facilitates the Associate Experience for a Fortune 100 company. She contributes as the Communications and Marketing Chair for the International Coaching Federation Virginia Chapter Board and as the Fund Development Chair on the Board of the Central Virginia National Alliance on Mental Illness. Michele is also an inspiring keynote speaker.

Michele is certified as a Health and Wellness Coach through Georgetown University and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University earning her degree in Exercise Science and Health and Human Performance. Her diverse experience brings a holistic view to overall mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing complemented by her background in Physical Therapy and sports medicine.

Avinash Tripathi- Special Projects Lead (Temporary Role)

Avinash (Nash) Tripathi is a passionate and innovative leader in Product Management. He is a recognized leader in the Product Management space and Agile community. He currently serves as Vice President of Product Management at ECOM Consulting Inc., where he supports efforts to craft and deliver the company's and clients' vision of the Customer Experience product portfolio. 

He is experienced in translating business goals into viable systems, products, and solutions. With 17 years of comprehensive expertise, as a Product Leader, his emphasis has been transforming the organization toward Product driven organization structure from Project driven structure. His career spans public and private sectors and includes financial services, non-profit, and Fortune 500 companies.

Nash has served for several years as the volunteer for Agile Alliance. He was the co-founder of one of the most prominent meetup group spreading words about Agile, Loudoun Agile Network. He was the conference organizer to celebrate 20 years of Agile, A20DMV.

Nash is a Coach by instinct and a trainer by passion. He is an International Coaching Federation Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and enjoys his involvement with the community. He has been involved with the Agile community and supporting non-profit communities on Agile, leadership, coaching since 2015 and supporting Product Management education efforts along with other industry leaders.

Nash received his Leadership and organizational design education from Stanford University and he actively propagates the lessons learned to all the leaders across the industry and community.
