Libby Dishner - President

Elizabeth M. Dishner (Libby) has spent 20+ years during her career helping people find success and fulfillment by reaching for their full potential. As founder of Cresco Strategy, and co-founder of Cultivate Coaching and Consulting, Libby works with individuals and organizations helping them change and grow, providing leadership development, coaching and HR strategy. 

Libby holds a master’s degree in Human Resources from The Ohio State University. Trained by the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, she is a Certified Professional Coach. Currently her ACC accreditation is pending with the International Coach Federation.  Libby and her family have been residence of Richmond since 2000.  She is also very involved in the nonprofit community serving in leadership positions with several boards. 

Gay-Lynn Carpenter - Past President

Gay-Lynn Carpenter, PCC, is a leadership and communication coach. She works with emerging leaders, technical experts and rising executives to help them strengthen their leadership, presence and communications so they can be influential in their organizations.

Gay-Lynn's approach to coaching is a culmination of 30 years developing all manner of written and spoken communications and helping leaders engage their employees in business goals. She has worked in the health care, financial services, legal services, and non-profit sectors.

Gay-Lynn was first accredited as a coach in 2008 and has earned a professional certified coach designation from the International Coach Federation (ICF). She serves on the Board of the Greater Richmond ICF Chapter. She graduated from the Neuro-Leadership Group's Intensive Coaching Training Program, which uses neuro-scientific techniques to capitalize on the brain's ability to act on new thinking and insights. She has a Master of Science in communication management from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science in Cultural Anthropology and English from James Madison University.

Scott Moore - Treasurer

Scott A. Moore is a Leadership Advisor and Personal Life Coach at Moore Life Leadership.  He is a Certified Success Coach (CSC), an Associate Certified Coach (ACC), and a Certified Aviation Manager (CAM). 

Scott has a passion for people, and his work in coaching allows him to empower others to solve their own problems, and to create a better version of themselves.

Scott is passionate about Values Based Leadership, and he gives presentations to national conventions, corporate leadership teams, and non-profit groups.  His writings on leadership have appeared in national publications, such as Forbes, Professional Pilot, King Air, and Business Aviation Insider.

Values Based Leadership is a philosophy and model that encourages people to live, work, and lead in alignment with their personal core values, principles, beliefs, and purpose, to in turn ignite the extraordinary potential of those around them.  Scott served as the Aviation Department Manager for Luck Companies, a Values Based Leadership company,

Scott’s experience with honor and ethics during his Air Force career served as a foundation for his later VBL work.  His continuing exploration of Values Based Leadership, along with extensive coach training, gives Scott the knowledge and skills to positively impact his clients.  Scott’s experiences range from the cockpit to the classroom, and from the boardroom to the office cubicle.

Scott graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a degree in Chemistry, has a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois, and served as a pilot and officer in the United States Air Force.  Scott is a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Business Aviation Association, a national non-profit aviation organization.  He is the father of three boys.

Mary Streett -Secretary

Mary Streett is a coach, and a learning leader with 30 years of leadership experience in frontline to senior roles in healthcare, insurance and retail. With a background in learning, human resources, and organization effectiveness, she brings this to her coaching clients and to organizations to discover and design effective solutions.

Mary is founder of the Damano Group, a coaching and consulting business and works in learning and talent function of a large, national healthcare organization. She believes we all have potential within and sometimes it takes holding up the mirror, a bit of self-reflection, and thoughtful conversation to discover how to be our best. Drawing on her personal leadership experience and coaching philosophy, she works with clients to set both work and personal goals to balance achieving results with focus on the whole person.

Mary holds a master’s degree in leadership and organization effectiveness from Troy University. She received a certificate in Executive Coaching from Georgetown University and her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) renewal is pending with ICF. She holds several certifications: Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Narrative Coach Enhanced Practitioner, CMA Insights 360, The Leadership Circle Profile, CCL’s Skill Scope 360, and Myers-Briggs. She currently volunteers as Secretary on the ICF-VA Charter Chapter Board.


Rebecca Reimers Cristol

Rebecca Reimers Cristol, ACC, coaches businesses of all sizes to communicate more clearly, improve customer relations, streamline workflow and reduce worker stress. With her guidance, leaders have honed their management skills and increased employee engagement. Whether a new venture, a seasoned business or non-profit, Rebecca enables people to find joy in their work and get the most out of life.

Rebecca earned a Bachelors degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, then a Masters in Metalsmithing & Jewelry Design from Indiana University. While managing her own jewelry studio for 20 years, she learned to juggle all the responsibilities of owning a small business while guiding her friends through life’s challenges. Inspired by this, she launched her coaching business in 2009 and completed her training at Coach U.

She currently facilitates a small business group where entrepreneurs and freelancers can troubleshoot problems.  She also hosts seminars for large corporations and weekend workshops for individuals. Her articles about self-care and work/life balance can be found in the Health Journal and on her website, Rebecca, Life Balance Coach.


Cat Murphy 

Cat Murphy has over 25 years experience helping organizations create and maintain a culture of engagement, agility and continuous improvement.

In leadership roles and as a consultant, Cat has helped develop and implement high impact strategies to drive organizational change and agility. She specializes in transformational programs for organizations involving significant cultural and behavioral change.

Working with executives, she leverages her coaching skills to help them develop their best approach to making the transformation a success.  Cat brings a lean and agile mindset to organizational transformation by increasing transparency of the progress of the transformation, escalating difficult barriers to leaders and celebrating incremental shifts.

Her passions and strengths are in helping coach executives and leadership teams as they build the case for and implement cultural change.

Cat is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC), certified in Emotional Intelligence (EQ-I 2.0), Change Management (Prosci) and a Scaled Agile Professional (SAFe SPC).  Cat currently serves on the board of the International Coach Federation of Virginia.

Alexa Beavers, PMP 

Alexa Beavers, a self-proclaimed “pragmatic idealist”, has a track record of coaching leaders, cultivating change-making teams and shaping organizational transformations that deliver results. Her career spans public and private sectors, and includes leadership in education, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, animal health, financial services, non-profit, and Fortune 500 companies.

As a coach, Alexa helps her clients leverage their self-awareness, resilience, learning agility and interpersonal skills so they can bring their best selves to work and get amazing results. The Axela Group’s unique SCANTM coaching approach works especially well in these times of rapid change because it helps leaders See, Consider their options, Adapt with a coach there to support them, and “Now do it again” so they can be agile in today’s changing world. Knowing that no two coaching engagements are alike, Alexa taps into her brain-based coaching practice to help individuals uncover the path that will “Axela-rate” their impact most effectively.

As a team and transformation leader, she is recognized for her insights, innovative approaches to complex issues, humanistic leadership and disciplined drive for results as “Industry Rising Star” and “Pharmaceutical Industry Luminary” by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.

Alexa is founder and managing partner of The Axela Group and sits on the Boards of Community Veterinary Outreach, USA and The International Coaching Federation, Virginia Chapter. Some of her most recent work includes heading Culture, Change and Communications for Boehringer Ingelheim’s deal with Sanofi to acquire its animal health business. Alexa holds a Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute and has a Master of Arts in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. She attends Georgetown’s Institute for Transformational Leadership and is looking forward to adding the International Coaching Federation’s ACC designation to her credentials in the summer of 2019. Alexa lives with her husband (who is her business partner), three children and their dog, Scout, in Richmond, Virginia.

 Petra Platzer

Petra Platzer, PhD, PCC, is President of Integrative Partners and Founding Partner of SixSEED Partners. She is a development-oriented coach, facilitator and systems thinker. As a well-published cancer researcher, Petra focused on identifying markers in signaling pathways leading to dysfunctional organs, resulting in unhealthy systems. In her leadership roles, she recognized this same process between individuals and teams and their impact to the organization. This ignited her passion for working with leaders, teams and systems to co-create the healthy, interdependent signals they need to achieve their desired results.

As a professionally certified coach (PCC) and graduate of Georgetown University’s Leadership coaching program, Petra has successfully partnered with numerous clients and colleagues in the healthcare and academic settings to support developing effective leaders, teams, interdisciplinary initiatives and tangible culture changes.

Through her leadership and faculty roles in Georgetown University’s Health & Wellness Coaching certification and Virginia’s SYNC programs, Petra emphasizes developing the coach approach and increasing our individual and leadership capacities to transform the care of our health—individually and organizationally. In 2005, she was named “Woman of the Year – Forward Thinker” by Glamour magazine and Toyota.

Michele Atkins

For Michele Atkins, encouragement runs through her blood. Michele is the ultimate believer in a positive mindset and is most passionate about helping women who are seeking more. If you ask Michele, life is worth truly living, “and you’re allowed to have fun!”. She seeks to help individuals release the heaviness of a busy and demanding life by connecting their confidence to their calling. 

Michele serves as a Life, Leadership, and Wellness Coach. She leads and facilitates the Associate Experience for a Fortune 100 company. She contributes as the Communications and Marketing Chair for the International Coaching Federation Virginia Chapter Board and as the Fund Development Chair on the Board of the Central Virginia National Alliance on Mental Illness. Michele is also an inspiring keynote speaker.

Michele is certified as a Health and Wellness Coach through Georgetown University and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University earning her degree in Exercise Science and Health and Human Performance. Her diverse experience brings a holistic view to overall mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing complemented by her background in Physical Therapy and sports medicine. 

Michele finds joy in bright colors, chill vibes, innerwork, and celebration. Though Michele might not know you, she already believes in you.

Stephanie Brown, ACC

Stephanie Brown is a Human Resources Professional and Coach with the Department of Army, TRADOC at Ft. Eustis, VA where she leads a variety of human resources initiatives. She is a member of the Federal Coaching Network.

She has dedicated her career to developing leaders. For close to 20 years, she has held people development roles across the federal government and non-profit, sphere. Stephanie is currently standing up a coaching and training firm focused on empowering professionals to live out their leadership brand and create a rewarding life. The firm will also focus on training managers and leaders in conversational coaching skills that create employee synergy, trust, and collaboration vital to talent development and retention.

Stephanie graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Management- Human Resources Management. She earned a Masters in Theology from St. Leo University in 2018. She holds the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), SCP and the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) certification of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
